【Theme】 Designing proteins and applying them to industries and medicine

It is said "The 21st century is the era of life science". One of the most important tasks in the century is to unravel the "program of life" written in DNA and to use the results of the basic research for medical and industrial field.
At the forefront of protein research, it is gradually becoming possible to design and create proteins for medical and industrial use. Professor Arai explained basic contents of it to students.
Approximately 20 students attend the lecture.
At the end of lecture, students asked question through internet chat system. Students answered " It was easy to understand over all. I now understand there are many types of proteins.
