<Theme> "How to walk into AI society?"

Lecturer ：Dr. Arisa Ema…Specially Appointed Lecturer, Policy Alternatives Research Institute, The University of Tokyo

　"Artificial Intelligence = AI" is hot topic. Lecture started from the question "Is AI "Science" or "technology"? Then Dr. Ema introduced how and where AI is being used, how AI can influence human and concerns. She pointed out linkage with "ethics" and "law".
　She also mentioned how "AI" would give impact on employment in the future. When technology is introduced into our work, we have to think about organizational culture and how to work. She made a point that we have to clarify " what society we want to live" and use AI, after all. Students asked many questions such as rights of AI, how to distinguish AI from human, when robot like Doraemon will appear etc. from the venue and internet.
　Number of participants were fewer than the original because today was a Friday before the week of midterm examination but they all participated enthusiastically.
