　As a part of SGH program "Global Action", " HAKUNETSU English Course" started on June 18 (Monday). We welcomed Prof. Edward Scruggs as a lecturer. He gives eight lectures of 90min. for each this year, four in first semester and four in second semester (which starts October)　Lecture is held in English on topics of environmental issues, developing countries, medical, art and cultural comparison. Students are devided into groups of two to three and discuss on a topic. The end of the class, students present their own thoughts. The aim of this course is to obtain skills to discuss in English. In the first term, 53 students took this course in Large Lecture Room. Students enjoyed this class under instrucion of Professor Edward.
