≪Reflections from our school's participants≫
· My viewpoint on things were expanded by interacting with other people from other schools who also went to the Cambodia training trip. I was surprised to know a lot more about Cambodia that we did not know from others. We realized within these two days that we should adjust our thinking so that we would not generalize and stereotype others. Also my social network has expanded and it was my first time to interact within the SGH designated schools. The group work was also very refreshing.
· During the workshop, I came to the conclusion that the same thing can be said to Japan and the world after much in -depth considerations on Cambodia. I was able to find out what I want to do now and am clear on what I have to do in order to realize my goals. In addition, I was also touched by the presentation and way of thinking from the representatives from other schools and I realized the importance of voicing out.
· The best part for me at this Nara training was to exchange my opinions with high school students of either the same or higher than abilities as I am during these two days. If I had not participated in this training, I think that we would not be able to exchange ideas like this with high school students outside the prefecture or think about one agenda together. In the keynote lecture, we discussed what we wanted to leave in Cambodia and what we have to change, and at that time we received a lot of opinions and realized the past stereotypes and the narrowness of our past vision.I had a very fulfilling time for these two days. I think that I am really glad that I was part of this.
